movement
EM specialises in movement and choreography for performers who get anxious at the idea of a movement call. Using artist led practices and ensemble techniques, they blend their experience in circus, puppetry, breath and body work to illustrate stories with the body that serve the narrative, putting the comfort and autonomy of the creative team first.
“Usually where physical theatre is involved, it can either dwarf the text or seem like an unnecessary add-on. But … the physical scenes aren’t an unnecessary addition; they show us what can’t be easily said with words.”
Hannah Margerison – A Younger Theatre
“…so elegantly choreographed that the audience is moved to reconsider the very parameters of movement.”
Liam Marchant – EdFringeReview
“[E M Williams'] choreography pinballs between dynamic bursts of play, sizzling sexiness and beautiful echoes of heartbreak…”
Cara Ballingall – Broadway Baby
